'I hope we get a response', says Steve Coppell ahead of Delhi Dynamos match
Before the season started, ATK were being seen as one of the favourites to make the playoffs. However, two defeats in two games have seen the Kolkata-based side languishing at the bottom of the table. As Manuel Lanzarote and Co. take on Delhi Dynamos on Wednesday, 17th October, 2018, they will look to make amends and climb up the Indian Super League table.
What’s the team news?
Arnab Mondal, SK Faiaz and Andre Bikey are slowly regaining match fitness. All three have trained with the first team during the international break. There are no major injury worries for Coppell ahead of the game but it remains to be seen if he makes a few changes to the line-up or not.
How have Delhi Dynamos FC started the new season?

Delhi are currently 6th on the table with one point from one match.
What’s our overall record like against Delhi Dynamos FC?

What Steve Coppell said...
On the match against Delhi: "We are just looking forward to the game after our last defeat. We didn't give ourselves very much of a chance of a victory in our last game, obviously because we had a player sent off after 30 minutes. It is not always a good idea to play football 10 against 11 if you want to win games. So this is a chance to get ourselves on the right foot. We are looking forward to the challenge."
On what he expects from the match: "Over the past 12 days, when we have been training. I certainly got hard work and commitment so I certainly hope we get a response. I always believe you get out what we put in. So we intend to put a lot in and we would like to get a lot out."
On the opposition: "We have prepared for every team. We are fully aware of the chances they created in the first game. We can do a lot of work behind the scenes but inevitably football game is about execution. We have to execute our game plan and then we have to try and impose our game on the opposition."
On Komal Thatal's progress: "He (Komal Thatal) has shown an awful lot of promise this season with us. I have been impressed with him. He played quite a few games in the preseason in Spain. He hasn't figured so far this season but his skill and pace could well be a factor for us as the season commences."
